El derecho de asilo y refugio en el Caribe es un área jurÃdica subdesarrollada con potencial para que los territorios desarrollen su propia jurisprudencia.
El objetivo es que nuestros abogados capacitados en el Caribe se sienten con las partes interesadas relevantes y trabajen juntos para abordar esta área del derecho.

Our legislative drafting and asylum system development services are designed to support states in creating legal frameworks that are both principled and pragmatic. Unlike generalised model laws, our work is rooted in the specific realities of the country, its institutions, resources, legal traditions, and national security landscape.
We partner with governments to draft legislation and operational frameworks that reflect international standards while responding directly to unique domestic priorities and challenges.

3 | Practical Implementation
We support non-profit organisations, community-based groups, and other stakeholders in the practical implementation of refugee and asylum law at the local level. Our services go beyond theory and policy to address the day-to-day realities of international protection work, ranging from case intake procedures, documentation and screening processes, referral systems, and protection-sensitive interviewing, to internal capacity-building and staff training.

Unlike the standard frameworks provided by UNHCR, our approach is hands-on and grounded in the local context. We work closely with partners to develop systems and tools that reflect the specific legal, institutional, and cultural landscape of their country, ensuring effective service delivery while aligning with both domestic law and international protection principles.
